If your insurer does not have a cashless tie-up with Keshavbaug, you can still get your money back by filing a reimbursement claim. Here is how it works.
Before admission
- Inform your insurer or TPA about the planned admission, as your policy asks (many policies ask for this a few days before a planned admission).
- Check that your policy covers AYUSH in-patient treatment and note its limit.
At discharge, we give you
- Discharge summary signed by the doctor
- Final bill with itemised break-up
- Payment receipts
- Investigation reports and prescriptions
- Any certificate the insurer asks for
Filing the claim
- Fill the claim form from your insurer’s website or app.
- Attach the documents above, a copy of your policy or health card, photo ID, and a cancelled cheque for bank details.
- Submit within the time given in your policy (often 15 to 30 days from discharge).
- Keep copies of everything you submit.
After you submit
The insurer may ask questions or extra documents. Reply quickly; our desk can help with hospital documents. Once approved, the amount is paid to your bank account.
