Does my policy cover Ayurveda?

Most health insurance policies in India now include AYUSH treatment for admitted patients at recognised hospitals. Check “AYUSH treatment” in your policy wording or ask our desk to check.

Is OPD treatment covered?

Usually not, unless your policy has OPD cover. Most policies cover AYUSH treatment only when you are admitted, usually for at least 24 hours.

Which insurers have cashless tie-ups?

  • ICICI Lombard
  • Niva Bupa
  • Universal Sompo

With other insurers you can claim reimbursement.

How long does cashless approval take?

It depends on the insurer. Simple approvals can come within a few hours; some take longer if more documents are needed.

Is there a waiting period?

Some policies have waiting periods for certain conditions or for pre-existing diseases. These are written in your policy document.

Is Panchakarma covered?

When Panchakarma is part of in-patient treatment for a medical condition, it is usually covered within the AYUSH limit. Treatment for general wellness or rejuvenation is usually not covered.

What if the approved amount is less than the bill?

You pay the difference at discharge. We explain the estimate before admission.

Can I use my employer’s group policy?

Yes, if it covers AYUSH treatment. Bring your employee ID along with the health card.

What documents do I need?

Health card or policy copy, Aadhaar and PAN of the patient, employee ID for group policies, and old reports.

Who do I contact for help?
